This one is nice I think. Finished a week ago, but still my own mannequin is the only one that wears it. I even didn't try it on!

 
Just started this long cardigan mixed in bordeaux and bright red with a nice shaped waist. I like the pattern and the way these colors change by using them together.

These mice are just good as they are. They don't have to worry about what to wear today, bad hair days, going on a diet, or not so charming shiny T zones.  The mice get as big as you use the type of yarn; the pattern is not mine, but here's the link:  http://blog.fuzzymitten.com/2009/11/holiday-mice.html

In the original pattern the mice wear hats. These fellows without hats take a little time to create. Great to do something with little bits of yarn you otherwise maybe would trow away.

My first socks! For lots of you a typical "no brainer", but I am so very proud I can knit socks now!

Designing for the Verena contest: design by T (8 years old), choosing of yarn by T, knitting by T's mother. Didn't win a prize, but it was so much fun to work together!

 
My new and very nice way of crafting: just start knitting, and the design grows with the fabric. It feels very free to "just do something and see what it becomes". This dress for T fits her like a glove, and she looks like a model in it with a black shirt and black legging. The first dress in years she can approve!

 
A tunique for my sweet youngest sister. It comes with leg- and armwarmers, but these aren't finished yet (a sad story of sewing it together the wrong way, try to correct it, and a big hole in one legwarmer where it wasn't supposed to be). Normally I'm very cool with trying things over and over (and over) again, but this one brought out the worst in my top.

Yesterday I visited the craft fair in Rotterdam. Soon going to try to knit a barret (from the lovely book "Knitting Barrets" (Baretten breien) of designer Jolijn Copier). And for the first time try to crochet with Hoooked Zpagetti, just because the results are so beautiful.

The yarn shop had 9 pieces of this beautiful colour dark purple. I didn’t need them all for the small project I had in mind. Took them all nevertheless. You can’t leave a few behind . . .

So when the mentioned small project was done, another one followed quickly.

I really liked knitting this long, sleeveless cardigan for T.

Used my very old pearl-shell buttons for this one. Love it!

But . . . a few weeks ago she asked: "Mummy, will you knit something for me?" She doesn't have to ask twice!

This very soft yarn turned out to be perfect to convince her for sure! Zunday doesn't exist anymore; she does know every day of the week again. Now the trouble is to get the cardigan off of her and in the washing machine.

So a second cardigan had to be made:

She loves it!

The thirth project is in progress already: a soft summer ice blue sweater, in a sieve cloth stitch.

And many growing/knitting years to come . . .
